However, it's probably the best way for starters to begin digging into Psikyo, I would only name the music as the inexcusable letdown here.Edwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17491361099947592597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8742813618758333424.post-6275369145485283092011-03-17T13:14:48.793-03:002011-03-17T13:14:48.793-03:00Just like Sengoku Blade I tried this game for abou...Just like Sengoku Blade I tried this game for about 10 or 20 credits last year and I must say unlike its successor I didn't really like it. Same can be said for the first Gunbird. They seemed to have the difficulty and some frustrating aspects from other Psikyo games, but without such refined and fun gameplay. The boss patterns were kinda frustrating, lots of different shots coming together and you had to be lucky or to stand very exact so that the combination of two or more patterns wouldn't lead to a bullet wall where there's no space left to dodge. Therefore it would have been good to have panic bombs at least, but few characters do. Also the charge shot seemed to be of little use, took sooo long to execute. I hated the powerdowns, too. Well that's just my point of view of course, formed after a couple plays. But speaking of Psikyo's lazyness, at least it was great to see how they perfected their formular in the late 90s and then even create some fresh ideas. I can't really stand their first titles though.Battletoadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04151143202207161540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8742813618758333424.post-52155153922825936642011-01-18T22:43:05.708-02:002011-01-18T22:43:05.708-02:00But at least it's just one extend, right? I have the same impression that you when you select Ain and he says: "Heil Hitler".coffeejoerxhttp://www.coffeejoerx.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
